Areas of Practice

Corey practices in the areas of civil and business litigation.  Corey also provides advice to corporate clients on various business matters, such as corporate formation and regulatory upkeep, stock purchase and asset purchase agreements and gifting transactions.  Corey has also advised clients on the formation of private equity vehicles, including the associated regulatory filings with state and federal securities regulators.

Professional Experience

Upon admission to the bar, Corey practiced for a civil litigation firm in Boston, MA.  Corey initially focused his practice on securities and consumer class action litigation and whistleblower matters brought under federal and state whistleblower programs.  Since joining Phifer Pinkham, Corey has represented both business clients and individual clients in various areas of civil litigation.  Corey has represented clients in employment disputes, contractual disputes and probate disputes.  Corey has also represented business clients with matters ranging from corporate formation to the sale of a business.  Corey has formed private equity entities, managed the initial capital raise with the investors and provided advice for the ongoing operation of the private equity entities.

Personal

Corey lives in Braintree, Massachusetts with his wife and two children. Corey primarily enjoys spending time with his family and participating in all associated toddler appropriate activities, including trips to the zoo, children’s museums and the aquarium and weekly gymnastics class. Corey and his family frequent many of the great restaurants and breweries located on the South Shore.
